SelectHealth has been offering health plans since 1983. There are currently 22 Utah SelectHealth hospitals statewide. Over 3,700 physicians are associated with Utah SelectHealth insurance plans.

Each SelectHealth plan also offers three different doctor networks;
- SelectValue (1,100+ doctors in network coverage only)
- SelectMed Plus (3,000+ doctors with out of network coverage)
- SelectCare Plus (3,700+ doctors with out of network coverage).
Offering three networks of doctors allows you to adjust your SelectHealth premium by changing the size of the doctor network available to you and your family.
The most popular SelectHealth network is SelectMed Plus. The SelectMed Plus network stretches from Ogden to Provo and beyond and allows you to receive benefits for seeing an out-of-network doctor. To find out which networks your doctor is on, please click here or contact us.
SelectHealth insurance also allows you to use hospitals that are exclusive to the Utah SelectHealth health plan, such as; the new Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, LDS Hospital, Cottonwood Hospital, and Alta View Hospital.
In areas that are served by the SelectHealth health plan, most residents are within a 15 minute drive to the nearest SelectHealth-affiliated physician.
